Job Summary

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is seeking qualified applicants for career opportunities as library technicians within the Information Centre.

Education

Candidates must possess a Library Technician Diploma.

Experience

Applicants must have proven experience in one or more of the following areas: Cataloguing, Acquisitions, Current Awareness, Serials Management, Systems and Reference. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of the use of information technology in libraries/information centres. Ability to work in a matrix team environment is a key requirement.

Security Requirements

Candidates must have no criminal record, be drug free and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. This process involves a security interview, a background investigation that includes credit and financial verifications as well as a polygraph examination.

Language Requirements

Candidates must possess a good working knowledge of the English and French languages.

Salary Range

From $48,060 to $58,480 per year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

CSIS National Headquarters, Ottawa, Ontario

Employment Conditions

Six (6) month term with possibility of extension or permanent position.
