Job Summary

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is seeking applicants for Financial Assistant positions. The incumbent of the position will be accountable for the provision of financial services in the following manner:

• Perform accounts payable functions in respect to regulations and policies;
• Reconcile financial reports and prepare adjusting entries;
• Act as a resource person by providing guidance on related policies and procedures to managers/employees;
• Liaise with suppliers and other government departments to ensure the accuracy of accounts/financial transactions.

Education

Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Commerce; or Community college diploma three (3) year and one (1) year related experience; or Community college diploma two (2) year and two (2) years related experience; or Community college diploma one (1) year and three (3) years related experience: or secondary school diploma and four (4) years related experience.

Experience

Candidates must have demonstrated experience in a position with finance related responsibilities.

Who Can Apply

Canadian citizens eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.

Security Requirements

Candidates must have no criminal record, be one-year drug-free and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. This process involves a security interview, an extensive verifiable background investigation covering the last 10 years, that includes credit and financial verifications, as well as a polygraph examination.

Bilingual imperative (C/B/B)

Salary Range

$48,79 to $59,360 per year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
