Attaché case containing a hidden recorder and microphone.

This attaché case contains a concealed tape recorder and microphone. This standard issue case was typically used by investigators when conducting interviews. This particular one was equipped as noted and would be used on occasions when the investigator had reason to surreptitiously record an interview, or conversations taking place in close proximity, such as at an adjacent table in a restaurant etc. The recorder and on/off switch were not visible when the case was opened to retrieve papers or other contents. The Nagra recorder is of very high quality and did not make any detectable sound when recording.
